BIGGBY COFFEE ANNOUNCES 2011 YEARLY PHOTO CONTEST WINNER
Third-annual winner, Emmett Kelly, takes home a $1,000 BIGGBY gift card for his creative photograph
EAST LANSING, Mich. Jan. 25, 2012 – Drum roll please… the 2011 BIGGBY COFFEE photo contest winner has been announced! Emmett Kelly, a 21 year-old, Michigan State University senior, took home the winning prize, a $1,000 BIGGBY gift card, for his photo entitled, “Biggby Goes Down Under with Opera House Whipped Cream”. The photo was taken in front of the iconic Opera House in Sydney, Australia.

To enter the contest, BIGGBY fans can visit “The B Happy Lounge” at www.bhappylounge.com to upload their images with the only stipulation being, the image must include a BIGGBY COFFEE cup. Contestants upload pictures every month and a winner is selected at the end of each month and awarded a $100 BIGGBY gift card. At the end of year, each month’s winner is then entered into the yearly contest, for a chance to win the $1,000 gift card.
“This past March, I took the photo in the harbor with the Opera House on top appearing as the signature whipped cream just like atop a warm Biggby drink,” Kelly said. “BIGGBY is too awesome and I will continue to spread the BIGGBY love throughout the word!”
Now it its fourth year, the photo contest has a vast collect of photographs from customer’s travels, family gatherings, pets or other unique surroundings. The photos are judged by a panel of “experts” for creativity and altogether awesome-ness, before winners are chosen. Fans can enter as many times as they wish and only PG-rated images are allowed.
“Our photo contest got its start at our first-ever store in East Lansing,” Bob Fish, BIGGBY COFFEE CEO and co-founder said. “Customers living in the area were competing with each other by taking their BIGGBY cup with them on vacation and then posting it in the store. From there, the contest has taken off and today, we get images submitted from all over the word… just another example that shows we have the best customers in the world.”
