BIGGBY COFFEE launches this week

Posted on December 3, 2007

Comstock Park- The coffee is the same, but today a popular Michigan-based chain has a new name.

"Biggby" now takes the place of the old "Beaner's" name.

The company changed its name in September over concerns it could be construed as insensitive to migrant Hispanic workers.

Biggby's new store is located on West River Dr. in Comstock Park.

In celebration of the name change, the store is giving out free coffee all week.

Two more stores are set to open later this month in Grand Rapids and Grandville.
