BIGGBY COFFEE OPENS IN CHELSEA NEAR HOSPITAL
New Coffee Retailer Challenges Residents to “B” Happy with Free Coffee
CHELSEA, Mich., Nov. 8, 2010 – It wasn’t long ago that BIGGBY COFFEE was a single gourmet coffee shop serving East Lansing, Mich. with the area’s only genuine European café experience. Today, the growing coffee retailer announced its first store opening in Chelsea. The store, located at 1171 S. Main Street, opens on Nov. 16 and will offer free brewed coffee through the 22nd, along with daily specials throughout the week, including:
- Tuesday: Free tall Caramel Marvel
- Wednesday: Free tall Cocoa Carmella
- Thursday: Free tall Orange Creme Freeze
- Friday: Free tall Iced Butter Bear
- Saturday: Sign up for e-wards and receive a free tall Nutty Buddy
- Sunday: Buy a grande/super specialty drink and get one free
The new location is the first franchise operation for Chelsea resident Chris Kosmet, who traded a career in manufacturing to start his own business. He and his wife, Stephanie will handle store operations, along with Chris’ mother. Combined, the team has more than ten years experience in the restaurant industry.
“My wife and I decided to open a BIGGBY COFFEE because we decided it was time to become our own bosses and go to work at a place we enjoy being at every day,” said Chris Kosmet. “BIGGBY COFFEE has superior coffee, and a fun and happy atmosphere for customers and employees. I know the Chelsea community will love the big ‘B’ as much as we are going to enjoy working there.”
The Chelsea store is located on Main Street, just south of Chelsea Community Hospital. The store is open from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays. BIGGBY COFFEE of Chelsea features free Wi-Fi connections, a flat screen TV and warm, inviting fireplace.
The Chelsea store makes the fifth BIGGBY COFFEE in the Greater Ann Arbor area, with recent openings on Plymouth Road and Stadium Blvd in the last year. A full list of Greater Ann Arbor locations, along with a list of menu items, can be found at biggby.com.
