DEWITT BIGGBY COFFEE TO CELEBRATE 10 YEAR MILESTONE
Store Invites Community, Offers 99 Cent Tall Drinks for 10th Anniversary Party on Saturday July 16th

DEWITT, MICH. July 1, 2011 – Put your party hats on! Dewitt BIGGBY COFFEE wants to celebrate with you! On Saturday, July 16th join BIGGBY COFFEE (13181 Schavey Rd.) for a celebration commemorating 10 years of business! The day will feature .99 cent tall drinks (hot or iced) all day long, a visit from the one and only BIGGBY Bob, specialty coupons and more!

Since opening in 2001, store owner Deb Kirchen, said the success of her store can be pin pointed to one very important factor: the community.  “There is such a sense of support from Dewitt and the surrounding communities that we are so grateful for,” Kirchen said.  “We have so many friends who have supported us over the last decade and now we want to give back to our customers and just have a little fun!”

Recently voted “Best Coffee House” by Dewitt and Bath readers in the Lansing State Journal, the store was just the sixth BIGGBY COFFEE ever to open franchise wide.  “There is a sense of pride for the ‘community’ coffee shop concept and that is what our Dewitt location has developed,” Kirchen said. “Getting to know our customers and seeing the smiles that appear on their faces when they walk in the door, is why I am excited to come to work every day. Our customers and staff have really become like a family and I love that!”

Bob Fish, CEO and co-founder of BIGGBY COFFEE has worked with Kirchen for 12 years. “Deb, her family and the rest of her crew in DeWitt are a major part of BIGGBY COFFEE and have done a fantastic job throughout the years,” Fish said. “I am so excited to come and congratulate her in person on her exact anniversary, not only for the company but as a friend. The celebration is well deserved I can’t wait to see the success the next 10 years will bring!”

The celebration will get started at 7am and continue throughout the day until 7 pm. Party-goers can also take home “10 Coupons for 10 Years” which offers different deals at the location for the rest of the summer. Fish, aka “BIGGBY Bob” will stop by to mingle with guests and join in the celebration mid-morning.

About BIGGBY COFFEE®
East Lansing, Mich.-based BIGGBY® COFFEE opened a single store in March of 1995 based on the founding principle that coffee-lovers and the coffee-curious alike would benefit from a less pretentious approach to the standard gourmet café paradigm. BIGGBY COFFEE introduced connoisseur-worthy drinks with pronounceable names like Teddy Bear and Caramel Marvel, and barista staff surprised guests with simple gestures like free kazoos and bouncy balls for no other reason than to brighten their day. The “Big ‘B’” on the orange background caught on, and today BIGGBY COFFEE has 134 cafes open or under contract across six states including: Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, South Carolina, Wisconsin and Texas.  For more information, visit biggby.com.
