Local franchisee opens location on Dec. 27, offers week-long specials to community

HUDSONVILLE, MI., Dec. 15, 2011 –BIGGBY COFFEE is preparing to ring in the new year by spreading even more BIGGBY love and opening its newest location in Hudsonville, MI on Tuesday, Dec. 27! Local franchisee, Tom Klotz, is inviting the community to celebrate the store’s grand opening by offering tall, hot drinks for just 99 cents all day long!

“Opening during the holiday season is a great way to keep the celebration and happiness going that this time of year is already filled with,” Klotz said. “I have lived and worked in the area for more than 20 years and know that the type of community that exists here in Hudsonville, is perfect for BIGGBY!”

Located in Georgetown Center (3743 Baldwin St.) the store comes equipped with a convenient drive-thru window and will be offering a different drink special each day of their opening week.

“My family and I are so excited to be able to bring a friendly, approachable, community driven coffee shop like BIGGBY to the area,” Klotz said. “My goal is to make my store an extension of the community and create a place where friends, family and others can meet, relax and just hang out.”

As an entrepreneur at heart, Klotz said he is thankful for the opportunity he has had to create more jobs in the area and to support the growth that Hudsonville has seen, and will continue to experience into 2012 and beyond.

“This area is growing because of that sense of community and because the support for small business is so strong here,” Klotz said. “From the beginning, BIGGBY has stressed the importance of these values as well, making the two a perfect fit. I am looking forward teaming with the schools and different organizations to fundraise and to enjoy every minute of it.”

About BIGGBY COFFEE®
East Lansing, Mich.-based BIGGBY® COFFEE opened a single store in March of 1995 based on the founding principle that coffee-lovers and the coffee-curious alike would benefit from a less pretentious approach to the standard gourmet café paradigm. BIGGBY COFFEE introduced connoisseur-worthy drinks with pronounceable names like Teddy Bear and Caramel Marvel, and barista staff surprises guests with simple gestures like free kazoos and bouncy balls for no other reason than to brighten their day. The “Big ‘B’” on the orange background caught on, and today BIGGBY COFFEE has 139 cafes open or under contract across seven states including Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, South Carolina, Wisconsin and Texas.  For more information, visit www.biggby.com.
