NEWEST LANSING-AREA BIGGBY COFFEE TO OPEN NEXT WEEK AS THE ‘ULTIMATE’ FAMILY BUSINESS
Lansing, Mich., July 1, 2009 – East Lansing, Mich.-based BIGGBY COFFEE will open its 21st location in the Lansing area on Tuesday, July 7. The store, located at 2546 East Jolly Road at the Dunckel Roadintersection, will offer free brewed coffee all week (July 7-12) in celebration of its grand opening.
The newest BIGGBY COFFEE is owned and operated by a group of Lansing residents led by Andy Bunell, who has worked the past 15 years as an Ingham County health inspector. His business partners include his wife, Ronda, his sister-in-law, Nikki, and his brother-in-law, Aaron. The Barista staff includes Bunell’s two teenage children, Megan and Cayden, who will work alongside their dad in what can only be described as a true family business.
“In my previous job I was responsible for inspecting restaurants, including a number of Biggby Coffee locations,” said Bunell, who was born and raised in Lansing. “Truthfully, when my wife and I were discussing opening our own business we looked exclusively at Biggby because of our familiarity with the brand and my experience behind the scenes in my previous job. It’s a great company with an incredibly supportive operations team, and it just so happens that we also make the best gourmet coffee in the world.”
The cozy Jolly Road BIGGBY COFFEE location features a large flat screen television, free Wi-Fi, comfortable seating and the full menu of gourmet coffee, tea and frozen drink selections.
